Michelle Haney Maddux

Michelle is a graduate of SMU and George Washington Law School. She has worked for the Haney Company and also served as an editor for Lucky Magazine creating the DC and Baltimore shopping pages.

She currently sits on the board of her husband’s foundation, the Maddux Foundation, which seeks to address the systemic issues and environmental factors that contribute to poor parenting, drug and alcohol abuse, adolescent pregnancy, and other risk factors for infants and young children.

The Foundation focuses its support on infants, young children, and their families, investing in early intervention services to improve their health, developmental, and behavioral outcomes.

Michelle lives in the Kent neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three children.

    My dream getaway would be back to where I got married, Canouan Island, with a HUGE group of friends.

    Traditional Champagne Cocktail
  3. Your can’t live without piece of jewelry?
    My engagement Ring--it was my husband's Great Grandmother's, and if I lost it I would be so sad. I am sure I could live without it but I would not want to :)
  4. Favorite place to shop and why?
    Net-a-Porter. I love their selection, and returns are free and easy.
  5. Whose closet would you most like to shop in?
    Mary Alice's :) Or Lauren Santo Domingo’s.
  6. Your favorite Haney dress and why?
    The Marlien dress. I love the neckline, and I love the peek-a-boo fabric underneath. It is sexy, but understated.
  7. Where do you imagine wearing this Haney dress?
    Hopefully to a "Fabulous Party" with my friend Sassy! She always makes the night more fun.
  8. Your go-to evening bag?
    My husband's jacket pocket
  9. Favorite hostess gift to give?
    Domaine Ott Rose. I love the pretty pink color of the wine and the shape of the bottle is beautiful.
  10. Favorite hostess gift to receive?
    A tiny book from my friend, Lexi, on how to cuss in every language.
