Last week, I attended a gala at the LA Philharmonic. I love the process of deciding what to wear to any event. Now that I’m a designer, I have multiple options in terms of style and color. I tried several versions of The Connie dress I ended up wearing.

I absolutely loved the color of this dress but it didn’t quite make the statement that I was hoping to make especially when I’m wearing one of my own designs. After looking at it, I decided that this color was much more eye popping.

I accessorized the dress with my own jewelry, shoes and clutch and of course, my very handsome husband. It was a truly magical night. John Williams created some of the most famous Hollywood scores including the theme from STAR WARS. I loved watching Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers on the stage.
