In the past year and a half since I started HANEY, I have learned so many new things. When I don’t know something, I try and find someone who does! Social media and internet traffic were two areas I needed help. Enter Trina Albus, founder of Magenta Agency, a social media agency with fashion and beauty clients in Los Angeles and New York City, including W Magazine, J. Mendel and of course, HANEY. I was expecting a tech nerd and in walked a fashionista! I’m so thrilled to profile her in Women We Love.

How did you meet Mary Alice?

I met Mary Alice through Marlien Rentmeester, editor of the fashion blog, LE CATCH. When I presented at the Lucky Magazine Fashion and Beauty Blogger (FABB) conference back in April, I met her there and later helped her out with some blog optimizations. She introduced me to Mary Alice. I’m so glad I decided to present at Lucky FABB since it led to the opportunity to work with two super talented and fabulous women that I admire.

How would you describe your style?

Since leaving NYC and moving to LA 3 years ago, my style is definitely more relaxed. I spend most of my time in Santa Monica and Venice, so my style is mostly casual, beach chic. I also wear a lot more color now that I’m in LA; as opposed to all black all the time.

-What is your favorite classic piece you will never get rid of, and a new piece you are dying over?

Classic piece: My Cartier Tank Watch because it goes with everything. I bought this watch after I sold my NYC apartment, so it will forever remind me of a very exciting chapter in my life.

I have my eye on these Brian Atwood studded suede and metallic leather pumps. They would instantly dress up a day look, or go perfectly with a little black dress for a night out. They would also be perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

Tips for staying stylish:

I am a beauty product addict, so I always have the latest makeup. I’m not afraid to play with new colors and textures. Figuring out how to wear the new beauty trends of the season can freshen up any look.

2. 3.1 Phillip Lim stretch-silk top. This piece can be styled in so many ways. It’s an ideal layering piece and adds a pop of color to any outfit.

3. Helmet Lang Coated Denim Leggings. Chic and comfortable new pants for fall.

4. Loeffler Randall Walker Tote. Most of my handbags are all black, so I like that this tote introduces a bit more color and texture into my wardrobe.

5. Ash Blade Wedge Sneakers. These look so comfortable! My boyfriend is 6’3” so I’m always on the lookout for new chic options to boost my height. These sneakers will easily transition from day to night in LA.

Which Haney dress is your favorite?

The Holly. This dress immediately caught my eye online and then when I saw it at the HANEY atelier, I was even more obsessed. It comes in 3 colors and honestly, I need them all, because they are all so stunning. The Holly is sexy and sophisticated, yet easy to wear and so flattering. I would look so forward to putting this dress on for a special occasion and wearing it all night
