Met Ball

The MET Ball is one of fashion’s most exciting nights. The theme of the gala this year was: “Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion” honoring the 100th anniversary of the Met’s Department of Asian Art. I always like to see who follows the theme and who just decides to look gorgeous and sexy. I saw a lot of skin and many who threw the Asian theme out the window. Either way, it’s a fun night to watch fashion.

Here are some of my favorite looks from this year.

Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney. Her hand drawn tattoos were stunning and made the entire look.

Reese Witherspooon in Jason Wu. Red is a strong influence in Asian fashion and Reese looked stunning. Her hair and make-up were also modern and chic.

Sarah Jessica Parker in a custom headdress by Philip Treacy. Sarah always follows the theme and never disappoints.

Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein was my absolute favorite. Byrne stuns in a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit adorned with red leather and crystal.

Osanna Visconti is an incredible Italian designer who makes beautiful bronzed jewelry inspired by nature. I love the delicacy of her pieces and think they can go both greek and asian in their inspiration.
